Welcome to the Developer Resources Documentation page from Datalogics. We offer a variety of tools which span a broad range of features for Portable Document Format (PDF) workflows and processing.
Online Documentation: | |
Adobe PDF Library | The Adobe PDF Library SDK is a low-level PDF library that contains a powerful set of native C/C++ APIs with interfaces for .NET and Java APIs. We also offer a .NET Core interface. Systems integrators, independent software vendors (ISVs), enterprise IT developers, and others can integrate Adobe PDF Library functionality within custom applications in a client and / or server environment. |
Adobe PDF Converter | An API which allows developers to quickly and easily convert Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) and PostScript (PS) files to PDF. The industry-standard Adobe Distiller and Distiller Server are themselves built upon PDF Converter; this API is also available separately to application developers. We provide release notes for PDF Converter on the Developer site, and a description PDF Converter on our product page. |
Forms Extension | The Forms Extension is a software module that allows applications built using the Adobe PDF Library (APDFL) to work with XFA and AcroForms forms documents. This Windows plug-in works seamlessly with APDFL and provides functions available in Adobe Acrobat for forms document workflows. |
PDF Forms Flattener | This simple stand-alone utility works with Windows 64 platforms and allows you to flatten documents containing PDF forms, both AcroForm and XFA. |
FLIP2PDF | This is a simple stand-alone command line utility for Windows and Linux 64 systems. Use FLIP2PDF to convert PostScript files, Microsoft Office documents, and graphics files to PDF documents. You can run FLIP2PDF manually from a command prompt, or as a command added to a batch file and set up to run automatically. Acknowledgments |
PDF Checker | PDF Checker is a another simple command line utility for Windows platforms. You can use this product to quickly scan a PDF document or set of documents to look for problems, or identify features within a document that are likely to get in your way if you want to use the PDF efficiently. |
PDF Optimizer | PDF Optimizer is a simple command line utility for Windows or Linux 64 bit platforms that you can use to edit a PDF document so that it will download faster or display more quickly in a browser window. When you optimize a PDF document, it simplifies the file, making it more efficient. The process also usually makes the PDF document smaller, sometimes a lot smaller. A smaller PDF document is easier to send as a file attachment by electronic mail and opens faster in a viewing tool. PDF Optimizer provides a variety of settings that you can use to set up your own custom optimization process, including reducing the size of images within the PDF document, removing unnecessary fonts, and discarding objects and features such as bookmarks, attached files, and blocks of JavaScript. |
PDF2IMG | A command-line utility and API that converts PDF files to a variety of image formats, including PNG, JPG, TIFF, BMP, and more. The product is built upon the Adobe PDF Library and uses Adobe technology for unrivaled color management during the PDF conversion process. While PDF2IMG can be run with as few as two command line arguments, many other optional command line arguments are provided so that you can create custom output. PDF2IMG is available on both Windows and Linux platforms, 32 and 64 bit. Acknowledgments |
PDF2PRINT | This is a simple stand-alone command line utility for Windows 64 systems. You can use PDF2PRINT to send a PDF document to the printer of your choice, either manually from a command prompt, or as a command added to a batch file and set up to run automatically. |
PDF Alchemist | PDF Alchemist is a C/C++ SDK for intelligently extracting text and images from PDFs and exporting to HTML 5 or EPUB. It employs sophisticated techniques to identify and reconstruct “text flows” within the PDF. These text flows are often lost in PDFs, and yet are vital for repurposing the information locked within the PDF. Acknowledgments |
pdfRest API Toolkit | REST APIs allow you to convert, compress, combine, separate and standardize digital documents. Learn how to send GET and POST HTTP requests and get started quickly with cURL examples. |
pdfRest API Toolkit Self-Hosted | PDF Private REST APIs are available in the AWS Marketplace to power your solutions with a private, self-hosted backend, important for organizations who for regulatory compliance or corporate security policies require private storage locations for file. Learn how to set up REST APIs to support PDF document processing capabilities through GET and POST HTTP requests. |
PDF Java Toolkit | PDF Java Toolkit is a native Java library that provides high-level APIs for automating PDF workflows like processing PDF forms, verifying digital signatures, and extracting text. It also offers low-level APIs for working directly with the structure of the PDF for those times you need it. As a developer, you can use PDF Java Toolkit to build PDF document processing into your own application. |
Adobe RMSDK and DL Reader | Adobe Systems offers the Reader Mobile Software Development Kit (RMSDK) to developers who seek to build custom eReader apps that can read EPUB and PDF files on a mobile device or smart phone. RMSDK 11 includes a simple eBook reader application called Book2png that you can use for testing and as a development guide. Datalogics distributes RMSDK with DL Reader, our own reading app for Android and iOS. |
