API Reference Guide
We provide an online reference for working with the Datalogics PDF Private REST APIs.
Setting up your Amazon Machine Image (AMI) in the AWS Marketplace
With our Datalogics PDF Private REST APIs on AWS we provide an Amazon Machine Image, or AMI. An AMI is a snapshot of a server configuration that is installed on the Amazon Marketplace. You can use our AMI as a template to build a server instance, and thus add our PDF processing features to your own AWS environment. With this feature you can build and save your own custom workflows and run them as often as you like. The AMI is an image of a server device; AWS creates a server configuration for you, and then it runs on Amazon server hardware.
There are two ways to set up the AMI for the Datalogics PDF Private REST APIs. One is to use a single EC2 instance, which is quicker to set up but is not scalable to support larger concurrency requirements. The second is to leverage EFS storage to support scaling to multiple EC2 instances. To set up the AMI in the AWS Marketplace, start by logging on to the AWS Management Console at aws.amazon.com and select a path below to follow the next steps:
The Datalogics PDF Private REST APIs include the Adobe® PDF Library™ and Adobe® PDF Converter™ software products, and any upgrades, modified versions, updates, additions, and copies thereof. URW++ GmbH, a German corporation having a place of business at Poppenbütteler Bogen 36, D-22399 Hamburg, Germany (“URW++”) is the owner and developer of certain fonts (“URW++ Fonts”). URW++ and Datalogics, Inc. have entered into an agreement (the “URW++ Enabling Agreement”) which entitles Datalogics, Inc. to sublicense certain rights to use and distribute URW++ Fonts.
Use of URW++ Fonts. Upon full payment of the agreed upon licensee fee, you are granted a non-exclusive right to use the URW++ Fonts.
Exclusion of Other Usage. It is prohibited to change or modify the font/trademark names used as identifying tags in the URW++ Fonts in any form or manner with prior written consent of URW.
No Other Rights. In the event your use of the URW++ Fonts is found to infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party, in any jurisdiction, you will cease use of such URW++ Fonts in such jurisdiction unless or you secure any additional rights necessary for such use.
End of Term. You are responsible for removing and deleting URW++ Fonts from any AMI on which they have been installed at the end of your license term.
